About the position

The Loan Processor at First National Bank & Trust Company plays a crucial role in the loan processing team, ensuring that all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders involved in the loan process.

Responsibilities

• Request and track orders of appraisals, title work, flood, and other reports on real estate loans.
• Review loan documentation requests for accuracy and completion.
• Prepare loan documents based on officers' requests and verify they are in accordance with loan policy.
• Balance and prepare settlement statements with title companies for real estate transactions.
• Ensure loan documents are prepared and ready on schedule.
• Communicate loan document information with lenders, loan assistants, and credit administration.
• Assist in reviewing loan files to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy with appropriate approvals in place.
• Assist in reviewing supporting documents such as title work to ensure any exceptions are cleared prior to loan closing.
• Ensure each loan has the required loan documents and supporting documents based on loan type to reduce the possibility of loss.
• Prepare loan documentation including new loan documents, denials, extensions, and deferrals.
• Schedule loan closings and ensure they are within reasonable expectations that deadlines can be achieved without unnecessary delays.
• Order post-closing documents in a manner that ensures asset quality is protected.
