About the position
The Loan Processor position at Robert Half involves facilitating the mortgage loan process from origination to closing. The role requires a detail-oriented and highly organized individual who can manage multiple loan applications while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness. The Loan Processor will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and support a smooth loan process.
Responsibilities
- Process and manage a pipeline of residential mortgage loan files, ensuring accurate and timely completion
- Gather, review, and verify applicant information and necessary loan documents, including income, credit reports, property appraisals, and title commitments
- Communicate and coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to complete the loan process
- Ensure all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and complies with industry and company policies and regulations
- Update loan statuses in the system, providing regular updates to clients and team members on loan progress
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the loan process to avoid delays
- Perform quality control checks on all loan documents, identifying and addressing potential red flags
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in mortgage loan processing or a similar role within the financial industry
- Familiarity with mortgage loan processing, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle a high volume of loan files efficiently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in loan processing software (experience with Encompass, Calyx Point, or similar platforms is a plus)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
