About the position
The Loan Processor will play a crucial role in the lending process by managing and preparing loan documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong communication with borrowers, lenders, and other stakeholders. This position is essential for delivering a smooth and efficient loan experience for clients.
Responsibilities
- Review loan applications and ensure completeness and accuracy of all required documentation.
- Verify borrower information, including income, employment, credit history, and other necessary data.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in loan files to maintain compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison between borrowers, lenders, underwriters, and other parties throughout the loan process.
- Provide updates to borrowers and answer questions to ensure a seamless experience.
- Follow up with third parties to obtain outstanding documentation in a timely manner.
- Ensure all loan files meet regulatory and internal compliance standards.
- Accurately document and record all loan-related correspondence and activities.
- Maintain organized and secure records for audit purposes.
- Manage loan pipelines to meet deadlines and ensure timely processing of applications.
- Coordinate with underwriters to address any loan conditions or exceptions.
- Assist with closing processes, ensuring all necessary documents are complete and delivered.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Loan Processor or similar role in the lending industry.
- Strong knowledge of loan products, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
