About the position
The Loan Resolution Specialist at Selene Finance LP is responsible for acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for a portfolio of non-performing assets. This role involves contacting, negotiating, and completing loss mitigation alternatives to minimize foreclosure losses. The specialist will handle various functions within the SPOC department, including working with bankruptcy customers and high-value clients, while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for assigned non-performing assets.
- Negotiate and complete loss mitigation alternatives to minimize foreclosure losses.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to customers, attorneys, and realtors regarding account options.
- Educate customers on loss mitigation options such as loan modifications, short sales, and deeds in lieu.
- Analyze financial situations and recommend appropriate loss mitigation tools.
- Conduct light skip-tracing activities and review title searches for potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Review and update daily reports and accounts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training required.
- Experience in GSE loss mitigation preferred, especially with FHLMC and FNMA.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Previous experience with MSP, Black Knight/LPS, and Sagent.
