About the position

The Loan Sales Support Associate at First Community Bank plays a crucial role in the operations center, focusing on the daily functions of Loan Sales Support. The associate will be involved in keying, verifying, and maintaining loan records, demonstrating a solid understanding of the bank's loan products and procedures. In addition to the core responsibilities, the associate will handle the imaging of loan files and any additional documentation necessary for the loan processing. They will also track and clear exceptions to bank policies, ensuring that all discrepancies are resolved promptly. The role includes reconciling loan general ledger accounts, processing escrow transactions, and managing collateral lien perfection and release. Monitoring consumer credit reporting is also a key aspect of the job, which involves inquiry, research, and addressing disputes as they arise. The Loan Sales Support Associate must possess the ability to respond knowledgeably to customer inquiries, providing excellent customer service and support. The primary duties may vary based on the level of experience, and the associate may be requested to assist in supporting other bank activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Keying, verification and maintenance of loans.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Bank loan products and procedures.
  • Imaging of loan files and any additional documentation.
  • Tracking and clearing of exceptions to bank policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Reconciliation of loan general ledger accounts.
  • Escrow processing.
  • Collateral lien perfection and release.
  • Monitoring of consumer credit reporting, including inquiry, research and disputes.

  • Assist in the support of other bank activities as requested.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in loan operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exhibit attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficiency in using computers and office products (e.g., Word, Excel).
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrate willingness and desire to interact in a team environment.
