About the position
The Loan Service Accounting Officer (LSAO) at United Business Bank is responsible for various monetary activities within the Loan Operations area. This onsite position involves monitoring general ledger accounts, performing secondary reviews of payoff calculations, processing participation activity, and addressing account inquiries or discrepancies. The LSAO will also assist with department projects and streamline processes while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Monitor applicable general ledger accounts.
- Perform secondary review of payoff calculations.
- Process participation activity.
- Research and address account inquiries or discrepancies.
- Reconcile applicable vendor invoices and fund and board purchased/participated loans.
- Assist with ongoing department projects and streamlining processes and procedures.
- Perform all duties accurately, timely, and efficiently according to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Three or more years in lending, financial, or accounting industry.
- Advanced knowledge of lending processes, documents, terminology, regulations, and standard banking practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent math skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office software package.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including computer, adding machine, copy machine, fax machine, and telephone.
