The Loan Servicing Representative I at American Heritage Credit Union is responsible for managing member loan inquiries and assisting with the loan application process. This role involves providing information about loan products, processing applications, and ensuring a smooth experience for members throughout their loan journey.

  • Manage all member loan calls via the loan center phone queue.
  • Assist members throughout the loan application process by offering suitable loan products.
  • Perform all aspects of the loan application process for various types of loans.
  • Maintain established goals for abandonment rate in the phone center.
  • Answer member loan questions and advise on product availability.
  • Input loan applications received through various channels (phone, fax, email).
  • Contact members regarding loan application decisions and communicate stipulations.
  • Verify income and update applications with required supporting documentation.
  • Work all online loan application queues in the loan origination system.
  • Respond to all member emails, web messages, and calls in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on all loan applications within 24 hours of submission.
  • Verify all loan application information for accuracy.
  • Review loan terms and set up closings.
  • Prepare and send loan documents to members via Branch, DocuSign, or mail.
  • Process and fund loans.
  • Contact members to offer additional loan products and services.
  • Review and verify merchant/member loan packages for completeness and accuracy.
  • Complete the account opening process and initial member deposit if applicable.
  • Track sales and cross-sales daily.
  • At least one to three years of experience in loan processing.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of consumer loan processing and local, state, and federal lending regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, DocuSign, and basic knowledge of Symitar and Meridian Link.
  • Professional interpersonal skills for servicing members and staff.
  • Experience with loan origination systems.
  • Familiarity with credit union consumer loan products and services.
