About the position

The Loan Servicing Specialist at Old Second National Bank is responsible for managing both commercial and consumer loan maintenance, including payment processing, disbursements, and related servicing tasks. This hybrid role allows for a combination of onsite and remote work, contributing to the bank's commitment to community and growth while ensuring accurate loan processing and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Processes payments and disbursing of loan proceeds.
• Reviews and processes payments and functions related to loan payoff.
• Meets expectations for accuracy of loan set-ups and maintenance for commercial, consumer, and real estate portfolio loans.
• Ensures all loan processing is managed through the designated workflow.
• Monitors and processes a high volume of loan advances including construction draws.
• Produces paid loan reporting to the collateral team for release preparation and collateral file movement.
• Processes all incoming mail for the department and performs miscellaneous clerical duties, projects, and assignments as needed.
• Administers insurance and tax escrow, including force placed insurance processing, monitoring, and reporting.
• Validates and updates ticklers in core related to insurance exceptions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of consumer and/or commercial loan operations or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical aptitude including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Above average oral, written, and communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree a plus.
• Jack Henry experience a plus.
