About the position

The Loaner Car Coordinator at East Bay BMW is responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for customers utilizing loaner vehicles while their cars are being serviced. This role involves greeting customers in the service drive area, assisting them with the check-in process, and working closely with Service Advisors to identify necessary maintenance and repairs. The Coordinator may also advise customers on additional services and repairs, ensuring that all customer needs are met efficiently and effectively. In addition to customer interaction, the Coordinator is tasked with scheduling service appointments, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The position requires participation in ongoing training and accurate recording of hours worked in the company timekeeping system. The Loaner Car Coordinator must demonstrate the company's core values, which include servant leadership, teamwork, integrity, commitment to customer enthusiasm, and accountability. The role does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities but requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to manage customer interactions and service documentation. The Coordinator will also assist with moving vehicles and processing payments, contributing to a positive customer service experience. This position is essential in maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring that service operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers in the service drive area and assists them with the process of checking vehicle in for service.
  • Assists Service Advisor by working with customer and technician to identify required maintenance.
  • May advise customers on necessary and recommended services.
  • May offer additional services and repairs to customers.
  • Assists with moving vehicles.
  • Assists customers with reviewing documentation, processing payment, and returning keys for completed services.
  • Schedules appointments with customers.
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company's Core Values.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Previous experience in automotive or customer service industries desired.
  • Basic knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability and knowledge of the Dealership Management System and other web-based applications utilized for operations.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

Benefits

  • Base hourly compensation of $21.00.
  • Potential production bonus based on dealership performance, ranging from $0.00 to $300 per month.
