About the position

At FIS, we are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to join our team as a Product Owner/Business Analyst/Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Securities Finance & Collateral market. This role is pivotal in understanding and analyzing the requirements of our clients and the market, ensuring that our products meet the evolving needs of the industry. You will work closely with product management, customers, and market providers to identify market trends, risks, and growth areas that will benefit our Loanet solution suite. Your responsibilities will include analyzing market requirements and deriving relevant business, regulatory, and technical requirements. You will maintain a product roadmap, prioritize development initiatives, and drive product developments in collaboration with our development teams. Additionally, you will develop business cases for key initiatives, champion projects with strong ROI, and assess risks appropriately. Supporting our clients' day-to-day requests and inquiries will also be a key part of your role, requiring collaboration with internal teams such as Client Services and Professional Services. As a Product Owner, you will provide guidance on messaging and product positioning, conduct training sessions for our sales force, and engage directly with clients. You will act as an escalation point for client issues that require product change resolution and practice open communication during feedback sessions and requirements gathering. Presenting to clients during business reviews and internal meetings will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that our solutions are effectively communicated and understood.

Responsibilities

  • Identify market trends for Securities Finance in North America, risks and growth areas that will benefit the Loanet solution suite.
  • Analyze market requirements and derive relevant business, regulatory, and technical requirements.
  • Maintain a product roadmap and prioritize development initiatives.
  • Drive product developments in collaboration with the development team and supervise execution of development initiatives.
  • Develop business cases for key development initiatives and champion initiatives with strong ROI while assessing risks appropriately.
  • Support client's day-to-day requests and inquiries by working with internal teams, including Client Services and Professional Services.
  • Support the sales organization with specific market/domain expertise and product knowledge.
  • Provide guidance on messaging and product positioning per segment.
  • Conduct training on value proposition, positioning, differentiators, and pricing of solution components for the sales force.
  • Engage and interact with clients, acting as an escalation point for client issues that require product change resolution.
  • Practice open and honest communications with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Provide presentations to clients during business reviews, prospect briefings, and internal group meetings.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in product management, design, and/or development of software products and services for the Capital Markets domain.
  • Specific experience in the Securities Finance domain, including Securities Lending & Borrowing and Collateral Management, with usage of FIS products, specifically Loanet Core products.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus.
  • Strong acumen in business, technology, and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with product management principles and methodologies, including software development lifecycle, release management, and change management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements of the Securities Finance and Collateral industry.
  • Structured thinker with the ability to quickly organize and execute action plans.
  • Desire to continually learn and improve approaches and methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Positive team-oriented attitude.
