About the position

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific area, including managing staff, scheduling, and reporting to clients. The role requires effective communication and the ability to handle various operational tasks while ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a positive environment for passengers.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet all passengers in the ticket counter lobby.
  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Assist passengers with the self-service check-in machines as needed.
  • Provide special assistance to passengers as requested.
  • Provide general information and directions to passengers.
  • Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Handle other people's property, especially mobility aids and luggage, with care.
  • Familiarize oneself with all TSA/FAA/Government/Client/Airport/Company regulations.
  • Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the immediate work area and report maintenance needs.
  • Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from airlines, staff, and the public in a courteous manner.
  • Attend meetings and in-services as required.
  • Utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records, reports, and files as required.
  • Wear proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials, ensuring identification is always visible.
  • Attend and successfully pass the airline customer service initial and annual training.
  • Advise passengers to pull old checked tags from their luggage before checking it at the ticket counter.
  • Advise airline staff to assist all late arrival and late connecting passengers.
  • Escort passengers as needed once appropriately trained and issued the appropriate badge.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in the achievement of company objectives.
  • Utilize company and client equipment, supplies, and resources in a conscientious, cost-effective manner.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Some supervisory/management experience in a shift work environment is necessary.
  • Proven previous supervisor/management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Reliable telephone and transportation.
