About the position

The Lobby Attendant at Embassy Cincinnati Rivercenter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel's public areas. This role includes deep cleaning tasks, setting up lobby functions, and providing assistance to guests, ensuring a welcoming environment and high standards of service.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain the public areas of the hotel according to established standards.
  • Set up and maintain complimentary hotel lobby functions, including coffee service and concierge events.
  • Deliver service items to guest rooms upon request from the front desk.
  • Drive the shuttle van when needed, as per property requirements.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
  • Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Clean and buff floors daily according to hotel standards.
  • Shampoo carpets and furniture in public areas as needed.
  • Clean public restrooms and ensure maintenance on a regular basis.
  • Handle requests for luggage assistance in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests and associates.
  • Handle items for 'Lost and Found' according to hotel standards.
  • Complete daily assignment checklist and submit to supervisor at the end of the day.
  • Be familiar with Aimbridge Hospitality policies and house rules.
  • Ensure associates are attentive, friendly, and helpful to all guests and staff.
  • Maintain hotel equipment in proper working order and store it correctly after use.
  • Assist in all emergency procedures during the overnight shift.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver license for the applicable State and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
