About the position
The Lobby Lounge Bartender at The Ritz-Carlton Portland is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while serving a diverse menu of cocktails and beverages. This role emphasizes excellent customer service, knowledge of drink trends, and the ability to engage with guests in a friendly manner. The bartender will also maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and payments processed efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide excellent customer service.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including wine and champagne.
- Create and maintain a clean and organized bar area.
- Stock ice, glasses, and paper supplies as needed.
- Process payments and complete cashier reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a bartender is a significant advantage.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds (10 kg).
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
