About the position

The Delivery Driver position at SYGMA involves safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to various customers using a tractor trailer. The role emphasizes teamwork and customer service, with a focus on maintaining food safety protocols and ensuring accurate delivery. Drivers can expect to work 3-4 routes per week, with a maximum of 42 hours, and have the potential to earn up to $150,000 annually, depending on performance and route pay.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, in all weather conditions and place in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications.
• Complete all paperwork according to established company and governmental guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Meet food safety protocols, maintaining proper temperatures and sanitary conditions in the delivery vehicle and during product handling.
• Develop and establish good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree.
• 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred or completion of a tractor trailer driving school.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Must be insurable to operate a vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines.
• Experience in driving over long distances and in varying weather conditions.
