About the position

The Local CDL-A Driver position at Great Lakes Coca Cola involves working in local stores to ensure that Coca-Cola products are fully stocked on the shelves. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts. The driver will be tasked with various responsibilities that include maintaining product in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs and transporting products between the backroom and display floor using manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. The position also requires the use of hand tools for replenishing, facing, and rotating products, as well as building, changing, and taking down product displays. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for maintaining product signage, cleaning product spaces, and securing damaged or defective products. In managing the backroom, the driver will organize and consolidate backstock, monitor inventory levels, evaluate and process damaged or defective products, and re-pack products as necessary. The role also involves organizing backroom materials and operating powered equipment like straddle stackers and powered pallet jacks. Completing store documentation and cleaning the backroom are also part of the responsibilities. The driver will maintain areas of responsibility in designated accounts by communicating status and concerns to store and company personnel, identifying and reporting unsafe working conditions, and attending company training and certifications while adhering to company and store policies regarding safety and equipment use. Customer service is a key component of this role, as the driver will provide assistance to consumers and store personnel by answering questions, locating products, and resolving concerns. The position may also involve other projects or duties as assigned, making it a dynamic role within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains product in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or meet the minimum state legal age requirements.
  • Must have six (6) months of work experience in a relevant field.
  • Must have reliable automobile transportation and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must have a valid driver license and maintain auto insurance coverage.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Ability to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Must pass a post-offer drug test and background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Beverage industry experience.
  • Prior customer service experience in solving customer issues.
  • 1 year experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks.
  • Straddle stacker certification.
  • Powered pallet jack certification.
