Silvi Materials, a progressive and integrated manufacturer and supplier of concrete, is seeking Concrete Truck Drivers to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. As a Concrete Truck Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of concrete while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. You will operate an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck in accordance with all federal and state regulations, performing pre and post-trip inspections as per DOT guidelines. Your role will involve loading and pouring concrete, navigating through areas with heavy pedestrian and equipment traffic, and maintaining delivery and driving records in compliance with company policies and regulations. Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest standard of quality and safety while ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of concrete.
  • Operate an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT guidelines; document and request required repairs as needed.
  • Load and pour concrete according to procedures involving the use of ladders, main chutes and extension chutes, as well as driving in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian and equipment traffic.
  • Maintain delivery, truck and driving records in accordance with company policies, as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Read delivery tickets and communicate with dispatch regarding all deliveries.
  • Wash residual concrete and materials off and out of all areas of the truck and barrel.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid commercial driver's license CDL-A or CDL-B and have a valid DOT Medical Card.
  • Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Able to work a variable schedule. Start times are anywhere between 12am-9am. Requires calling in to the plant at 4/5pm daily.
