About the position

ACERTUS is looking for Local Drivers with a CDL license and current DOT medical card to drive passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles locally in a safe and efficient manner. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday with 8 AM start times. Drivers usually work 3-4 days a week, up to 29 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Drive passenger and commercial vehicles as needed.
• Complete a DOT application providing 10 years of work history.
• Complete a Certificate of Violations form and a Clearing House release form once the position is accepted.
• Attend a 2-hour online orientation before completing the first CDL run.
• Deliver vehicles to customers at their homes or businesses and perform an Electronic Condition Report on the vehicle.
• Pick up a customer's car and bring it back to the hub, performing an Electronic Condition Report on the vehicle.
• Take vehicles to get serviced, repaired, or detailed and return them to the hub.
• Perform inventory/inspections on the lot as needed.
• Communicate timely and effectively with clients and management.
• Present electronic and hard copies of documents pertaining to the vehicle.
• Submit required documents for processing.
• Perform minor interior/exterior clean-up of vehicles as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Must have a valid and current CDL driver's license.
• Must have a current and valid DOT medical card.
• Must have at least two (2) years of driving experience in the same vehicle class (Class A or B).
• Clean MVR.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check.
• Must be able to operate a Smart Phone/Device (including a variety of applications).
• Must be willing and able to drive in different weather and road conditions.
• Must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 150 miles from the office.
• Must be willing and able to get in and out of various vehicles (cars, vans, Sprinter-type vans, 24-26ft. box trucks, etc.).
• Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of laws governing the operation of motor vehicles on public roads.
• Must maintain a professional appearance (clean collared shirt, clean shorts/pants, well-groomed).

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience driving larger vehicles (i.e., Vans, Sprinter-type Vans, 24-26ft. box trucks) preferred, but not required.
