About the position
The position involves local deliveries for Keystone Freight Corp., focusing on operating company-owned tractor-trailer trucks to transport freight. The role emphasizes safe driving, customer service, and adherence to safety regulations while managing deliveries to dedicated accounts.
Responsibilities
- Perform local deliveries using company-owned tractor-trailer trucks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections before and after each load.
- Operate vehicles safely and maintain equipment in a safe manner.
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
- Report all accidents immediately and perform any other tasks assigned to support team operations.
Requirements
- Class A CDL license required.
- Safe driving record (MVR, CSA, and previous employment).
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet DOT medical requirements.
- 1 year of Class-A driving experience or equivalent military experience.
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with drop and hook deliveries.
- Familiarity with city driving and local routes.
