About the position

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a local contract nurse RN Telemetry for a local contract nursing job in Overland Park, Kansas. This position is designed for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in telemetry, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. The role is a 13-week assignment, requiring 36 hours of work per week, with shifts lasting 12 hours. As a local contract nurse, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring patients' vital signs and ensuring their comfort and safety during their stay in the telemetry unit. Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry data.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Respond to patient needs and provide emotional support during their hospital stay.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • An adventurous spirit and fierce dedication.
  • A degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum 1-year acute care experience in a hospital setting.
  • Current State Nursing License.
  • Appropriate certifications for a specific position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in telemetry nursing or critical care settings.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
