About the position
InfiCare Health is seeking a local contract Respiratory Therapist to provide quality respiratory care services to patients of all age groups in Calais, Maine. This role involves working under the supervision of the Respiratory Manager and performing therapy services and testing within the scope of practice and licensure guidelines defined by the State of Maine. The position requires flexibility in shifts and includes on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality respiratory care services to patients of all age groups, both inpatient and outpatient.
- Perform therapy services and testing within the scope of practice of the Respiratory department.
- Attend in-service training and continuing education activities to enhance skills and abilities.
Requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioners License, State of Maine.
- National Board for Respiratory Care Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligible to sit for the RRT exam within one year of start.
- Graduate of a Commission on Respiratory Care Education accredited school for Respiratory Care (CoARC) with a CRT or RRT credential.
- Current Basic Life Support and optional Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
- Extensive knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology.
- Ability to perform all therapeutic respiratory care procedures, including the use of adult, pediatric, and neonate mechanical ventilation.
