Local Dispatcher - Crew Manager

About the position

The Local Dispatcher / Crew Manager at Corrigan Moving Systems is a full-time, onsite role responsible for overseeing crew scheduling, dispatching, quality oversight, and safety management. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assign crew members and vehicles to individual jobs for the next day.
• Discuss assignments with each crew leader and manage daily events in real time.
• Oversee quality of work with employees ensuring company standards are met.
• Ensure all crews & vehicles are operating safely and legally, within DOT regulations.
• Audit all crew paperwork for completeness and submit to billing.
• Prepare crew paperwork for the next day.
• Enter crew payroll times into the system and assist Operations and Crew with tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Above average multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, friendly, positive, with a helpful demeanor.
• Ability to work and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Solid computer skills with the ability to learn and utilize in-house software.
• 2+ years experience with Service Dispatch, Moving, or Logistics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in crew scheduling (1 year preferred).
• Experience in a moving company (1 year preferred).
• Experience in service dispatching (1 year preferred).
• Experience in crew management (1 year preferred).
