About the position

Hello! We're looking for a local field representative to help be the eyes and ears of our self-storage facilities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can quickly and efficiently follow directions, adhere to processes, and communicate clearly with the management team. The Field Rep will wear many hats, including that of a security guard, enforcer, repair technician, and maintenance technician. The primary responsibility is to keep our facility in excellent condition and ensure our storage spaces are ready to rent. The Field Rep will act as the 'gatekeeper' of the facility, serving as the public face to the tenants for the owners. This individual will assist in enforcing actions on delinquent accounts, such as overlocks, and is expected to maintain a professional demeanor, be courteous, and reflect positively on the company. The role also involves maintenance and housekeeping tasks, such as checking locks, changing light bulbs, adjusting unit doors, sweeping moved-out units, picking up trash, and maintaining operational equipment and buildings. Ensuring curb appeal and providing customers with the best first impression is crucial. Safety is another critical aspect of this role. The Field Rep must conduct threat assessments, identify safety concerns, and protect the property from accidents, weather-related issues, and theft. They will also document all service visits and communicate with the management team regarding tenant move-ins and outs, lock and overlock status, facility appearance and condition, and other areas of concern. The most important communication will be regarding the status of the units, ensuring that the website and management software accurately reflect the actual unit and lock status on-site at all times.
