About the position

The Local Hire (Data Integration Specialist) position at FEMA is a temporary role focused on assisting with disaster response and recovery efforts in Tallahassee, Florida. The role involves collecting and organizing Hazard Mitigation data, coordinating with various stakeholders, and managing information requests. Local hires are essential in supporting FEMA's mission to help communities recover from disasters, with employment terms typically lasting 120 days, subject to extension based on disaster needs.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing electronic databases to record and store Hazard Mitigation or organizational data.
  • Coordinating with Local, State, and National stakeholders to submit, track, and manage requests for information and data.
  • Serving as the Records Management point of contact to provide guidance on file/folder structure.
  • Using SharePoint and Digital Storage systems for maintaining file systems and sharing organizational information.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.
  • Must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • Selective service registration is required for males born after 12/31/59.
  • High school graduate or possess a GED is required.
  • Minimum age of eighteen years of age is required.
  • Experience utilizing electronic data collection and retrieval systems to manage organizational information.
  • Experience providing administrative and/or hazard mitigation program support to disaster survivors.
