The Local Hire (Human Resources Specialist) position at FEMA is a temporary role focused on providing administrative and human resources support during disaster response and recovery efforts in West Des Moines, IA. Responsibilities

• Work with hiring managers to determine personnel and staffing requirements.
• Prepare HR documentation such as the Request for Personnel Action (SF-52) form.
• Retrieve workforce management information reports, analyze report data, verify report accuracy, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Provide guidance regarding timekeeping policies and procedures and input corrections to the timekeeping system.
• Manage assigned personnel in the Deployment Tracking System (DTS) and make required updates.

Requirements

• Experience using automated time and attendance software to review, verify, and certify employees' time.
• Experience maintaining records and logs in accordance with human capital policies and requirements.
• Experience using automated software to create, edit, and format a variety of reports and correspondences.
