The Local Hire (PA Operations Support Specialist) position at FEMA is a temporary role focused on supporting disaster response and recovery efforts in various locations in Georgia. This role involves coordinating recovery services, analyzing resource requirements, and performing administrative duties related to disaster recovery programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the implementation of disaster recovery services and programs.
• Analyze resource requirements and capabilities to enable program delivery and performance.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of emergency management recovery policies, plans, and procedures.
• Interpret laws, regulations, and policies applicable to FEMA.
• Conduct analysis of survivor-centric assistance issues affecting program delivery.
• Perform administrative duties, including entering and tracking Requests for Public Assistance (RPAs) and uploading related documents in Grants Manager Tool.
• Assist with the Public Assistance spend plan tracker for project worksheets and generate ad hoc reports.

Requirements

• Experience coordinating with internal and external customers to develop, manage, and achieve project objectives.
• Experience providing guidance on organizational policies and determining compliance with rules and regulations.
• Experience collecting and analyzing data to identify challenges and recommend program improvements.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and successfully pass a background investigation.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age of eighteen years.
