About the position

ThompsonGas has been a leader in providing Clean American Energy for over 75 years, and we are currently looking for a dedicated Propane Delivery Driver to join our team. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, innovative, and committed to delivering superior customer experiences. As a Propane Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for completing daily local routes, ensuring that you return home every night. You will work closely with the delivery manager to communicate any necessary route changes or issues that may arise during your deliveries. Accuracy is key in this role, as you will be required to record deliveries, meter readings, and tank percentages meticulously. In addition to driving, you will also be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and notifying the manager of any needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance. Safety is a top priority, and you will ensure customer safety through prefill inspections, awareness, and system testing. You will also be involved in inspecting, painting, and repairing tanks owned by the company. Providing exceptional front-line customer experiences is a crucial part of your role, and you may be assigned other duties as needed. Responsibilities

  • Complete daily local routes as generated by the delivery manager, ensuring home every night.
  • Communicate any necessary route changes and/or issues directly to the manager.
  • Record deliveries, meter readings, and tank percentages accurately.
  • Inspect vehicle and notify manager of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
  • Ensure customer safety through prefill inspections, awareness, and system testing.
  • Inspect, paint, and repair tanks owned by the company.
  • Provide exceptional front-line customer experiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • CDL-A or CDL-B license required.
  • Valid Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements are necessary.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Availability to work on-call rotation as needed.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Previous propane experience is preferred.
