About the position

The Local Registration Authority (LRA) position at PE Systems, Inc. involves supporting the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) Token Management System (TMS) in collaboration with the Department of the Navy (DoN) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The role focuses on registering and establishing LRA and Trusted Agent (TA) accounts, performing user identity vetting, and coordinating the registration process for PKI certificate issuance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Naval Communication Security Material System (NCMS) Registration Authority personnel with registering and establishing LRA and TA accounts.
  • Perform user identity vetting and verify that users have a 'secret clearance' and a need for a SIPRNet token.
  • Appoint TAs at various local command locations to facilitate PKI certificate issuance.
  • Coordinate with individuals to control the registration process and validate user identification.
  • Access the Token Management System (TMS) to support the Certificate Authority and collect information for certificate issuance and verification.
  • Process incoming requests for Certificate Registration Instructions (CRI), tokens, and token revocations.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Follow corporate policies and procedures as described in manuals and directives.
  • Attend work each day during scheduled hours unless on approved travel or time off.
  • Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites as required.
  • Work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate information effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and effectively present information.
