About the position

The Graphic Designer will support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) by providing graphic design services across various media platforms. This role involves collaborating with proposal teams, enhancing storytelling through creative designs, and ensuring adherence to branding standards. The position is integral to the VA's mission of serving Veterans and requires experience in federal contracting.

Responsibilities

• Provide proposal graphics support, collaborating with proposal teams throughout the proposal development process.
• Develop and coordinate creative designs to enhance storytelling.
• Produce layouts and subject matter information demonstrating advanced knowledge of design and communication strategy across all media.
• Apply experience in creative conceptualization, visual storytelling, and solutioning, focusing on image creation and layout.
• Manage competing proposal graphics priorities and deadlines, communicating and tracking progress to completion.
• Support proposal graphics activities according to deadlines and availability of proposal team members.
• Provide advanced technical dialogue and support in visual communications and computer graphics.
• Collaborate and communicate consistently with all members of the proposal team, including technical leads and program managers.
• Transform novel ideas into visually consistent communication products with VBA design vernacular.
• Provide advisory services on branding matters.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a government contractor.
