About the position

The Local Store Marketing Manager is a pivotal role responsible for enhancing the visibility and engagement of our stores within the Northern Kentucky community. This position requires a proactive approach to building relationships with local businesses and organizations, ensuring that our marketing efforts resonate with the community. The manager will work closely with the management team at various store locations to develop and implement local marketing strategies that align with corporate goals while addressing the unique needs of each store. In this role, the Local Store Marketing Manager will actively participate in community events such as festivals and parades, creating a strong presence for our brand. This includes marketing and advertising initiatives targeted at local churches and schools, fostering partnerships that can lead to increased foot traffic and brand loyalty. The manager will also coordinate special events, such as car shows and children's activities, in collaboration with store management, ensuring that these events are well-planned and executed. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for setting local store marketing budgets and providing guidance to store management on how to effectively utilize their marketing funds. This includes assisting in the coordination of campaigns for organizations like United Way and ArtsWave, as well as communicating marketing activities with franchisees to address any special needs they may have. The Local Store Marketing Manager will also support the Director of Marketing with promotional activities, budget management, and performance analysis, ensuring that all marketing efforts are aligned with the overall business strategy. Furthermore, the manager will oversee the scheduling and management of Big Boy appearances across all markets, ensuring compliance with budget guidelines and event criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Work with management team at units to engage in communicating with local businesses and organizations.
  • Make a presence in the community with involvement in local community events such as festivals and parades.
  • Market and advertise with local churches and schools.
  • Coordinate events such as car shows and kids events with store management.
  • Familiarize local stores with the Extra Effort/Student Incentive Program.
  • Set local store marketing budgets and coach store management on effective use of LSM funds.
  • Assist in coordinating United Way and ArtsWave campaigns.
  • Communicate marketing activities with Franchisees and assist with special needs.
  • Assist Director of Marketing with promotions, budgets, and analysis.
  • Manage Big Boy appearances for all markets, ensuring criteria are met and budget guidelines maintained.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required and some college experience.
  • Two to three years experience in customer service and office setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Previous restaurant experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of computers required.
  • Excellent phone voice.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some Spanish language skills helpful.
