About the position

The Bouncer Character Docent at Imagine Exhibitions plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience at the Cabinet and Lock exhibition in Las Vegas. This position involves role-playing as a bouncer, greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of visitors while providing excellent customer service. The role is integral to setting the stage for an immersive experience, requiring strong communication skills and a flair for performance.

Responsibilities

• Greeting all guests that enter into the space.
• Sizing up guests and asking for a code word to enter.
• Explaining the rules of the Lock and directing guests to QR code scan.
• Answering all questions and being knowledgeable about the Speakeasy exhibition.
• Utilizing a table and seat management system to seat guests and ensure capacity is maximized.
• Promoting all Imagine Exhibition products and experiences.
• Communicating with the Mixologist to ensure guests are ready to enter.
• Collaborating with team members to maintain a presentable exhibition and store.
• Regularly communicating with leadership on outstanding issues or guest needs.
• Assisting in training new staff/team members.
• Ensuring world-class customer service standards and suggestive selling.

Requirements

• 1-2 years' experience in guest services, retail, or live entertainment performance.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to act and perform dry comedy.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Organized and punctual.
• Ability to provide a bouncer presence in character.
• Some lifting (minimum 25 lbs.) and bending motions required.

• Knowledge of the Prohibition Era and the origins of the Speakeasy.
