About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality locksmith services, ensuring the security and functionality of locks and keys for residential, commercial, and automotive clients. This role requires a strong understanding of various locking mechanisms, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain a variety of locking systems including deadbolts, padlocks, and electronic locks.
• Respond to emergency lockout situations promptly and efficiently.
• Use specialized tools and equipment to diagnose issues with locks and keys.
• Cut keys using manual or automated key cutting machines.
• Conduct security assessments for clients to recommend appropriate locking solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and inventory used.
• Stay updated on the latest locksmithing techniques and technologies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and inquiries professionally.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a locksmith or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of various locking mechanisms and security systems.
• Familiarity with using an Ohmmeter for electrical testing related to electronic locks is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on job responsibilities.
• Willingness to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.
