About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lock mechanisms, key systems, and commercial security devices. This role involves providing high-quality locksmith services to our clients, ensuring their safety and security through expert installation, repair, and maintenance of locks and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks, including deadbolts, padlocks, and electronic locking systems.
• Respond to emergency calls for lockouts or security breaches promptly and efficiently.
• Use specialized tools such as an ohmmeter to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with locking mechanisms.
• Provide clients with expert advice on security measures and recommend appropriate locking solutions.
• Create new keys using key cutting machines and rekey existing locks as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and inventory of locks and keys.
• Stay updated on the latest locksmithing techniques, tools, and industry standards to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a locksmith or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lock systems, key cutting techniques, and security devices.
• Familiarity with using tools such as an ohmmeter for diagnostics is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
