Aya Locums is seeking a dedicated and skilled Plastic Surgery Physician for a locum tenens position in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role is designed for a 13-week assignment, offering a competitive hourly rate ranging from $200 to $225. As a Plastic Surgery Physician, you will be responsible for assessing patients, documenting their medical histories, and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and managing various injuries, illnesses, and medical conditions that patients present with. In this position, you will conduct, analyze, and interpret diagnostic tests, ensuring that results are effectively communicated to patients. Keeping patient records current is essential, and you will be expected to update information and treatments regularly. You will also develop comprehensive treatment plans and recommendations tailored to each patient's needs. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is key to coordinating patient care effectively, and you will be expected to stay informed about advances in medicine and best practices to provide the highest level of care. This role requires a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and technology is also important, as it will facilitate efficient patient management and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and document medical histories.

Requirements

  • An active and unencumbered physician license in the state of employment.
  • Board certification or eligibility for certification in a specialty relevant to the role (highly preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
  • Completed residency program in your chosen specialty.
  • Continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain medical licenses.
