About the position

Aya Locums is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatry Physician for a locum tenens position in Prairie Village, KS. This role offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $200 to $225, and the assignment is expected to last for 13 weeks. As a Psychiatry Physician, you will be responsible for assessing patients, documenting their medical histories, and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have. You will diagnose and manage various injuries, illnesses, and medical conditions, ensuring that each patient receives the highest standard of care. In this position, you will conduct, analyze, and interpret diagnostic tests, effectively communicating the results to patients. Keeping patient records current is essential, and you will be expected to update information and treatments as necessary. You will also develop comprehensive treatment plans and recommendations tailored to each patient's needs. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is key to coordinating patient care, and you will be expected to stay up to date with advances in medicine and best practices to provide the best possible outcomes for your patients. This role requires a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document medical histories.

Requirements

• An active and unencumbered physician license in the state of employment.
• Board certification or eligibility for certification in a specialty relevant to the role (highly preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
• Completed residency program in your chosen specialty.
• Continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain medical licenses.
