About the position

As a Solutions Engineer specializing in Log Management and Analytics at Dynatrace, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise and executing demonstrations of Dynatrace's innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include managing proof of concepts, building relationships with customers, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the customer experience and drive sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Evangelize Dynatrace’s product offerings during international trade shows and key customer meetings.
  • Partner with sales representatives to identify new and incremental sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Participate in proof of concept (PoC) creation and cloud architecture discussions, leading the technical solution evaluation.
  • Present Dynatrace’s vision to C-suite executives of customers.
  • Provide technical guidance during the Discovery, Solution Evaluation, and Solution Proposal stages of the sales cycle.
  • Deliver on-stage demonstrations at marketing events and ensure key demonstrations are executed effectively.
  • Gather and provide customer feedback to Product Management to improve market share.
  • Build best practices and share knowledge within the team to enhance capabilities.
  • Work with local Sales and Sales Engineering leadership to identify learning and development opportunities.
  • Create and modify Dynatrace template presentations to meet specific customer demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience within the log management and analytics space with tools such as Splunk, Elastic, or Sumo Logic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with query languages such as SQL, SPL, or KQL.
  • Experience with observability and log collectors/pipelines such as FluentBit, OpenTelemetry, Cribl, and Logstash.
  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with programming/scripting technologies such as Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, and database.
  • Advanced knowledge of Operating Systems (OS) including Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with modern technologies like containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform.
