About the position
The Log Warehouse Clerk position at Kelly Services involves managing the logistics of inbound freight, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining communication with vendors and procurement. This role is essential for the smooth operation of the warehouse, focusing on scheduling, paperwork preparation, and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Print labels as required.
- Schedule receiving appointments with vendors for all inbound freight.
- Prepare and update the Delivery Appointment sheet daily for the receiving department.
- Prepare receiving paperwork by comparing the driver's Bill of Lading to the Purchase Order.
- Communicate with Procurement concerning overages, shortages, damages, and appointment changes.
- Responsible for accurate data entry.
- Assign receiving doors for inbound carriers.
- Enter all Purchase Orders and verify all PO's have been cleared by the end of the day.
- Manage the discrepancy report.
- File out of stock and damage claims.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of one-year experience with warehouse & delivery procedures required.
- Must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally.
- Excellent telephone skills and strong math skills are required.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail are necessary.
- Basic computer skills and good analytical skills are required.
- Must be able to resolve problems and prioritize workload.
