About the position

The Database Administrator 3 will work as part of a Scrum Team to manage and enhance database systems, focusing on Oracle Spatial and PL/SQL development. This role involves completing user stories, addressing bugs, and managing technical debt while ensuring database performance and security. The position requires collaboration with team members to evaluate user requests and assist with reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a Scrum Team
• Complete user stories, bugs, and technical debt
• Review, update, and develop PL/SQL including LRS and other Oracle Spatial operations
• Integrate PL/SQL code into Azure DevOps code repository
• Evaluate user requests for new data elements and features
• Perform data modeling, prototyping, and maintain data dictionary
• Monitor database performance and recommend efficiency improvements
• Help resolve database-related security risks and vulnerabilities
• Assist with required reporting as established by the client

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience
• Proficiency in Oracle Spatial (dynamic segmentation, LRS, SDO)
• Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience with version control systems (Azure DevOps, GIT)
• Familiarity with SQL Developer or similar IDEs
• Experience with Esri ArcSDE (integration with Oracle Spatial)

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (project management, user stories/bugs/test cases)
• Experience with Eclipse
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
