Logistic Coordinator

About the position

The Logistics Coordinator at JKA Logistics is responsible for overseeing the scheduling and movement of freight, ensuring efficient operations in the transport of used computer equipment. This role requires excellent organizational skills, customer service expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the scheduling and movement of freight working closely with vendors and customers.
• Enter orders into custom databases, prepare documents for shipments, and follow up on all orders/shipments.
• Work with local vendors to pick up equipment and ensure packing and palletizing meets standards.
• Relay orders, messages, and information to or from field personnel.
• Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests.
• Process order set up via preferred internal system.
• Ensure orders are picked up and processed timely to meet requirements and monitor shipments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of logistics coordination experience in the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong customer service background with the ability to build solid relationships with vendors and customers.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Dependable and organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethics of integrity, honesty, and achievement of excellence in all activities.
• Ability to work productively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• LTL motor freight experience with knowledge of freight classifications.
• World Trak software experience.
• Import/Export knowledge, especially regarding Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
