About the position

The Sales Manager, Metals at Odyssey Logistics & Technology is responsible for driving sales growth in the metals intermodal, transport, and warehousing industry. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, acquiring new clients, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to achieve the company's sales goals and objectives. The position requires a proactive approach to business development, client relationship management, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the metals sector.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and market trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to secure profitable business deals.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that support sales efforts.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Adjust sales strategies based on performance analysis and market feedback.

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company's services.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align sales activities with company goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales in the metals or related industry, with a focus on logistics.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics services.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable sales plans.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications such as CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
