About the position

The Logistics Accountant position at Mountaire Farms is responsible for performing month-end close activities, daily and weekly reporting for various transportation and logistics operations, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger. This role supports management with financial analyses and reporting, while promoting a safe work environment and continuous learning within the industry.

Responsibilities

• Completes month-end close functions including journal entries and publishing month-end reports as well as account reconciliations.
• Supports management with ad-hoc reporting and analyses as needed.
• Schedules and prepares monthly cost reviews for customer visibility of details.
• Continues to learn about industry-developing competency and commitment.
• Promotes and maintains a safe and secure work environment in accordance with Mountaire policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2 - 3 years' experience in a related field.
• Proficient in Excel.
• The ability to learn new systems.
• Demonstrated presentation skills.
