About The Position

The Logistics Analyst is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the use of drivers, trucks, and containers to enhance capacity, productivity, and customer service. This role involves executing safety protocols, improving customer experience, and ensuring operational efficiency through data analysis and route management.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Skillful with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to understand and execute time-sensitive tasks.
  • Experience in a customer-facing position.
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent credentials.
  • Two years of prior experience working as a Dispatcher preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
  • Report Driver performance issues or concerns to appropriate management for resolution.
  • Make changes to daily route information to increase Route Standardization, Efficiency, and Accuracy using the RISE Platform.
  • Use RISE Map's visibility to respond to same day changes or next day planning for service needs.
  • Verify data accuracy and ensure timely closure of routes.
  • Quickly resolve problems that arise while Trucks and Drivers are in transit.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze logistics data to improve Routing Accuracy.
  • Maintain constant communication with Drivers regarding route progress.
  • Create and sequence efficient routes.
  • Understand and help meet Missed Pickup, Service Commitments, and KPM goals.
  • Create routes with maximized capacity and review loads per Driver with the Supervisor.
  • Implement Dynamic Route Strategy principles for route building.
  • Manage daily routing activities to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Evaluate opportunities for building Swing Routes and analyze trends in Swing Percentage.
  • Monitor and adjust plans throughout the day as needed.
  • Understand daily Disposal Plans to identify optimal disposal sites for loads.
  • Meet quarterly to discuss disposal plans with the Operations Manager and Supervisor.
  • Review monthly Service Areas and Permanent customers to balance permanent stops based on peak days.
  • Provide Drivers with visibility on Customer calls regarding missed pickups.
  • Update Customers' geocoding daily to improve routing efficiencies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
