About the position

Nightwing is seeking a Logistics and Asset Management Lead to support a fast-paced, rapidly changing high-tech mission in the Northern Virginia area. This position is contingent upon funding, customer approval, and successful completion of a background investigation. The Lead will be embedded within a multi-disciplined team that includes logistics, procurement, and engineering personnel, providing quick-reaction support services. The role requires independent interaction with a variety of customers on a daily basis, necessitating a self-motivated individual who can prioritize tasks in a complex and dynamic environment. The Lead will be responsible for creating relationships with remote logistics teams to expedite shipments and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. The responsibilities of the Lead will vary widely from day to day, requiring knowledge of all facets of Property Management, Warehouse Operations, and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Logistics personnel will be cross-trained in all areas of warehouse operation, inventory management, and procurement. The Lead is expected to mentor and train specialists to ensure coverage across the team. Familiarity with local business policies, procedures, and public law is essential for compliance. The Lead may also transport customer items within the Washington Metropolitan Area and nationwide, and will be responsible for shipping items to an OCONUS facility operated by Raytheon. This role may require travel to the site to understand how items are tracked, consumed, and stored. The position demands working in inclement weather conditions and requires the ability to lift 50-pound items unaided. Candidates must obtain a DOT Medical Card, be certified to drive Forklifts, and be knowledgeable in DOT/IATA Hazardous Materials and Electrostatic Discharge. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of related experience, including supporting global mission-centric programs and leading a team of up to 10 personnel. A good driving record and the ability to drive a 26 ft box truck are also necessary. Candidates must possess a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
