About the position

The Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist at Orano Med LLC is responsible for managing logistics operations for the company's Texas sister site from the Indianapolis location. This role involves coordinating the transportation of radioactive materials, managing customer orders, and overseeing the import/export process while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, along with experience in supply chain coordination and logistics data management.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers to determine their needs for radioactive materials, including specific products, quantities, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with supply chain vendors to manage the pickup and delivery of radioactive materials, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  • Track and trace all shipments, maintaining accurate records and real-time updates on the status of deliveries.
  • Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate the import and export of radioactive materials, ensuring all shipments comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets for shipment tracking, budget monitoring, and other logistics records.
  • Prepare and maintain budget documents for logistics expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Accept incoming shipments at the dock door and enter relevant details into NetSuite to log and trigger vendor payments by the finance team.
  • Assist in the Materials Management department by locating Certificates of Analysis and completing disposition documents to certify scientific supplies for pharmaceutical manufacturing use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with team members and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with radioactive materials is a huge plus.
