About the position

The Logistics Consultant will evaluate, design, and implement improvements in logistics and supply chain processes within the oil and gas sector. This role focuses on optimizing transportation management, warehousing, distribution strategies, and freight optimization to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams to align logistics activities with operational goals, ensuring timely delivery and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analysis of current logistics and supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze logistics systems including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Lead logistics-related projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze data to track and improve logistics performance and create detailed reports for senior management.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and logistics service providers to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations in logistics operations.
  • Continuously improve logistics processes by leveraging automation and innovative approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field with a proven track record.
  • Proficiency with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM, WMS).
  • Strong data analysis skills (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven leadership and team collaboration skills.
