About the position

As a Logistics Contract Paralegal at Samsung SDS America, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Legal & Compliance team and various business representatives in managing contracts and legal administrative duties for the company's smart logistics business. This position involves overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and reviewing contracts to negotiating terms and ensuring compliance with legal standards. You will also manage logistics-related licenses and insurance, providing comprehensive legal support to enhance the efficiency of the logistics operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review contract request forms and collect necessary information for contracts.
  • Draft, review, edit, and analyze various types of contracts, including NDAs and logistics services agreements.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues regarding contract-related matters.
  • Handle amendments and supplemental agreements of existing contracts as needed.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on contract terms and conditions.
  • Act as the point of contact for contract-related discussions and serve as a liaison between corporate counsel and stakeholders.
  • Process budget requests, invoices, and reimbursements for SL Legal & Compliance.
  • Maintain and update logistics-related licenses and insurance policies.
  • Organize and prepare for meetings, events, presentations, and reports.
  • Route contracts for signature and manage the contract lifecycle through Cello.
  • Conduct legal research on laws and regulations specific to the logistics industry.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the logistics industry.
  • Assist in other legal matters such as litigation and claims.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
  • High energy, fast learner, and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize numerous projects under deadline pressure.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Familiarity with a variety of corporate and commercial agreements.
  • Strong administrative and interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
