About the position

The Logistics Coordinator at General Fasteners Company is responsible for coordinating logistics operations, including working with buyers, suppliers, and carriers to ensure timely processing of invoices and identifying cost-saving opportunities. This role offers flexibility to work from home and in the office, contributing to a positive team-oriented culture within a stable and growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with GFC Buyers, suppliers, and carriers.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices to accounts payable.
  • Identify, implement, and track freight and related cost savings opportunities.
  • Support and backup international and domestic logistics operations as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of logistics experience with working knowledge in all domestic modes.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Local to the Livonia, MI area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management or relevant field of study.
