About the position

The Logistics Coordinator at Workforce Enterprises WFE, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and timely transportation and shipping of customer goods. This role involves planning and implementing supply chain optimization projects, coordinating shipping schedules, managing yard inventory, and fostering relationships with vendors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement research, planning, and coordination of transportation and shipping of customer goods.
• Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects such as drayage, planning, and routing.
• Oversee yard inventory procedures and coordinate shipping schedules with vendors or transportation brokers.
• Develop requirements and standards for packaging, procurement, and delivery.
• Discover cost-effective shipping modes and schedules.
• Foster trusting relationships with vendors and team members.
• Organize transportation activities and manage information from point of origin to delivery.
• Coordinate transportation movements and arrange for necessary services.
• Manage and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
• Research, contact, and coordinate with new or current carriers.
• Track and trace domestic freight shipments moving via air and ground.
• Run and update reports as needed within various applications.
• Review training materials for tracking systems with internal customers.

Requirements

• One year of experience in planning or supply chain industry.
• One year of proficient experience in MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to create and maintain active spreadsheets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
• Ability to work well with others and support team goals.
• Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Prior knowledge of shipping carriers such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
• Experience with routing in E-Commerce.
