About the position

The Logistics Coordinator at Supply Chain Solutions Inc. is responsible for managing day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders. This role requires a minimum of two years of freight brokerage experience and offers opportunities for growth within the company as it expands.

Responsibilities

• Set up day-to-day shipments for house account customers.
• Build customer loads and assign carriers to the loads by finding the most optimal carrier and cost.
• Dispatch shipments and track and trace shipments.
• Monitor and answer daily emails and phone calls.
• Ensure on-time deliveries and communicate all delays and issues with carriers, customers, and internal staff as necessary.
• Schedule all pickup and delivery appointments with shippers and receivers.
• Prepare customer reports as required.
• Handle variances and claims.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of experience in logistics, supply chain, freight, and/or transportation industry or a combination of experience and relevant education.
• Solid teamwork skills and shows initiative.
• Very adaptable and responds effectively to changes in situation or information.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
