About the position

The Sourcing & Logistics Coordinator at Unified Power is responsible for managing procurement functions related to direct and indirect materials, services, and inventory control. This role involves collaborating with the Sales and Purchasing teams to ensure timely quoting processes, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining stock levels. The Coordinator will also track shipments, analyze market trends, and ensure adherence to company policies while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Sales and Purchasing teams to ensure timely execution of quoting processes and quality requirements with suppliers.
  • Assist in securing and analyzing quotes, negotiating prices and terms with suppliers, and recommending suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Manage in-house parts inventory, identifying and maintaining stock levels on critical and high-use items.
  • Coordinate planning and inventory control parameters for assigned products and services using NetSuite system requirements.
  • Read and interpret material needs from service orders.
  • Coordinate small package and LTL freight shipments, creating labels and documents through web-based systems.
  • Track shipments for open orders and update customers with expected delivery dates.
  • Monitor market prices, trends, and service method improvements, advising company activities accordingly.
  • Ensure adherence to administrative procedures and maintain business records of purchases and sales.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in sourcing materials in a diverse service environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good time and project management skills.
  • Strategic and tactical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer orientation and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with NetSuite System or similar is a plus.
  • Ability to work well with others and be self-motivated.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation within the first 2-3 months of employment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in inventory control for at least 2 years.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving for at least 2 years.
  • Experience managing purchasing orders for at least 2 years.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for at least 2 years.
