About the position

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of shipments by coordinating with transportation providers and managing shipping documentation. This role requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to address customer inquiries and shipping errors, while also developing processes to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
• Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.
• Tracking and fixing shipping errors.
• Preparing Domestic and International documentation, including commodity descriptions and HTS number.
• Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.
• Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
• Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience working in the logistics field.
• Excellent customer service and client relations skills.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions.
• Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes.
